How to Prepare for Your Roller Shade Installation
A few simple steps before installation day help our crew work faster and ensure a cleaner finish.

Confirm Your Mount Type
Decide between outside mount (shade covers the full frame and wall above) or inside recess mount (shade fits within the window opening). Our team will advise during the site visit, but knowing your preference speeds up the process.

Clear the Window Area
Remove existing curtains, rods, or blinds and clear furniture or obstacles within 1 metre of each window. Our crew can assist with removal on-site if needed.

Know Your Wall Type
Concrete walls require TOX expansion anchors; drywall or hollow walls need stud-located or toggle fasteners. If you're unsure, our team assesses this during installation at no extra charge.

Motorized Installs: Power Access
Confirm a power outlet exists within 1–2 metres of the window header. If not, arrange for a licensed electrician to install one before installation day. We handle the motor wiring once power is available.

High-Rise or Elevated Windows: Building Access
Confirm with building management that contractor access is permitted and arrange service elevator availability for your crew's scheduled arrival time.
